Leighton Denny's top tips
Chipping
If your polish is chipped and you've only got a few minutes to spare, remove it with gentle Essential Nail Polish Remover and buff your nails to a glass-like sheen with the clever Quatro Buffer. For a moisturising finish, apply Slick Tips. Fast and fabulous.
Colour
When you're in a rush, apply just one coat of any Leighton Denny nail polish. The formulas dry ultra-fast and the Crystal Finish topcoat will leave nails with a superb finish. It'll only last a few days, but it's perfect when you're short on time!
Peeling
Peeling nails are caused by dehydration in the nail plate. Make sure you wear rubber gloves when doing household chores and always use a nail oil such as Slick Tips (find above) or moisturiser to re-hydrate them. Buffing can help remove dry and peeling nails too it's like exfoliating your skin.
Filing
Mirror the curve of your cuticle. Most women want a 'squoval' (straight at the top with rounded corners), but Leighton thinks this isn't always the most flattering. I'm doing a lovely soft, round shape now. File nails with the must-have Crystal Nail File from the outer edge to the centre, making sure you don't saw back and forth.
Cuticles
By moisturising your nails with Remove & Rectify three times a week, you can say goodbye to dry, cracked cuticles. Massage it in gently and your cuticles should soon be in tip-top condition.
Playing it safe
Go for coffee or toffee shades if you want a colour that'll look sophisticated and natural. Shades like Bronzed Babe and Chocoholic suit everyone and can be worn to any occasion - a colour that matches your skin tone is best.
Glamour
Shimmer and glitter polish tones are great on the beach to show off your tan, or in the evening for a glamorous effect. The more adventurous among you should try applying Angel Dust over Just Perfect or I love Juicy.
